Intensive Modern Standard Arabic 20 hours/week

I attended a one-month Arabic course for beginners held at the InLingua centre in Sousse. First of all, I would like to express my appreciation to Madame Rafika, my teacher, who worked hard, skilfully and successfully – but also kindly – to teach me the basics of a language that was not easy for me to learn, as many of its phonemes do not appear in the other languages I know. Another barrier to overcome soon became apparent in the fact that the language used to communicate and explain what we were learning was French, which I know fairly well but is not my mother tongue. However, I am happy with the results I have achieved and I intend to continue learning Arabic, perhaps with the help of Italian-language support texts. The second thing I liked was the school itself, thanks in part to the valuable contribution of Madame Bedoui, who is responsible for InLingua students' language stays in Tunisia. The premises are welcoming, the equipment used is effective for language teaching, and the people who work there are young, smiling and always friendly towards the students who attend the school. In particular, I really appreciated the empathy that the entire administrative staff showed me during my entire stay with them: I am truly grateful to them! Finally, the last aspect that I really liked was the neighbourhood where the school is located: a place teeming with activity in the heart of a city that I adore for its ability to combine tradition and fascinating culture with a desire to modernise in the best possible way, thanks to the many young people who live there temporarily as students or permanently as residents of Sousse. In conclusion, 5 stars is the best summary of my January 2026 spent at InLingua in Sousse !!!

The school was great and I learned very rapidly, even after a short time.

I stayed in an Airbnb nearby. The neighbourhood of Sahloul itself is a little far from the "touristic" part of Port El Kantaoui, where I maybe would recommend travellers to stay instead and commute using inDrive/Taxis to the school for a more connecting experience.

During a four-week language course, I had the opportunity to deepen my basic knowledge of Tunisian dialect. Thanks to the well-structured one-on-one lessons with a patient, friendly, and competent teacher, I was able to develop optimally – the individually tailored pace greatly contributed to a motivating learning environment.

However, one technical aspect overshadowed the overall experience: registration on the eLearning platform was not possible due to technical issues, so the lessons were conducted exclusively via a smartphone. Despite intensive efforts to identify the cause, this problem persisted. Overall, the course was extremely enriching both in terms of content and pedagogy
